5 Business Ideas Just Waiting …

by Tim Berry on December 19, 2007

So many good ideas start with the business need and go from there to how to fill it. The business landscape changes all the time, and that changing landscape leaves gaps.

Pamela Slim’s excellent post 5 business ideas just waiting for an entrepreneur… like you? on Escape from Cubicle Nation is a great example. Pamela is at the top of the blogging world, in a position to see a series of new needs developing around the new media economy.

In truth, I don’t know which of the five ideas I like best. Several are intended to empower the one-person entrepreneur with skills and knowledge he or she doesn’t have, like financial or graphics skills or benefits expertise. I really like the underlying strategy of leveraging one person’s expertise to serve a group of clients who each pay a contract fee.

Hi Tim -

I also am a fan of Pam’s blog! I am relatively new to the blogging world (September). I write a blog on ideas called Quixoting. It is basically about acting on your ideas (vs. letting them smolder away in a bottom drawer!). I’ve so far used the blog to empty my idea book onto the web as well as looking for ways to inspire people to do something with theirs. I like your blog’s name “Up and Running” – sounds uplifting . . .
