You've gotta start somewhere

by Kristen Langham on February 6, 2008

Building Blocks My colleague, ‘Chelle Parmele, and I had high hopes for planning a fancy and flashy seminar for Entrepreneurship Week in November. We figured if we started months (and months!) in advance, we could come up with something really fabulous. After some more consideration, we decided that we should start small and local, and plan a smaller and hopefully successful seminar here in our own ‘backyard’.

For the last couple months, Chelle and I have been working hard at planning our first Plan-As-You-Go Business Planning Seminar, which will debut tomorrow, Thursday, February 7th at the Clackamas SBDC office. Tim Berry is presenting to a variety of trainer-types (counselors, consultants, trainers, bankers, etc.) in the hopes that the plan-as-you-go message will strike a chord and have a trickle-down effect.

Overall, the preparations have gone well, and we are looking forward to our seminar debut. Although tomorrow’s seminar may not be as big and flashy as we originally had planned in our minds, it is guaranteed to be full of valuable content and a lot of fun. And, you’ve gotta start somewhere, right?

Stay tuned to hear about the possibility of more Plan-As-You-Go seminars…or depending on how our planning and/or vision develops, the big and flashy seminar we originally discussed!
