Great information on how to use Twitter to gain business exposure and interact with target customers. A powerful social media tool, Twitter should be included in every company's online marketing campaign.

Dear Martin,

It's so great to hear from you. Thank you for google image nudge. I fixed the link right away!!

I use TypePad for Wasabi Nights and find WordPress to be similar, but a slightly different language for me. Aaaah, the life of a guest blogger!

I hope you and your blog are doing well and I will send you a tweet to say hello.

All the Best to You,

Lisa

Hello Sahail!

Thank you for your comment. I welcome you to the Trunk Club and would love to see how we can help you look your best!

I had the exact same experiences when I first joined Twitter regarding heavy marking contacts. I checked out your blog. You have a great focus and some great content.

I guess the best advice I would offer at this point is to spruce up your blog a bit with at least one interesting image per post and perhaps a photo of you on the about page. I would also recommend you move the wonderful description on your about page onto a "Feature Post" so that it appears at the top of the screen everyday and helps save new readers time in figuring out what you and your blog are about. I've realized people have short attention spans for content so you need to grab them quickly.

Regarding Twitter; figure out what your niche and goals are. Then, use Twitter as a search engine to give you a focused index of people who are in your niche and can help you reach your goal.

Start following them. Many will follow back. If you aren't sure where to start, find one person in the search who looks interesting. Look at who they follow and start following those people too.

Read their tweets and websites and re-tweet or tweet honest comments about them. They appreciate the PR and will usually reciprocate.

Some people you will click with well. They become your friends and keep in regular contact.

As long as you are on Twitter regularly, it's easy to quickly build a targeted following and it just grows exponentially from there.

Lastly, figure out what the best time(s) are for you to tweet your blog posts. I've found most men in my niche tend to read my blog early in the morning, lunch time or late in the evening. I've had the most success in reaching people via Twitter in the morning or evening.

Best of luck and I will look you up on Twitter and follow you. I am excited to read your future posts!

Best,

Lisa

Hi,

and by the way, I do want to buy clothes the right way, really into Crew at the moment. Can't quite understand the 'young' feel of Hugo Boss! (maybe because I am not young?). Looking forward to seeing what you guys do...

Anyway, on point. I found Twitter as frustrating as you at first. Really weird heavy marketing guys following me, me trying to spark a conversation and failing miserably. Promptly gave up.

Got a new blog (check it out, but no pressure!), and would like to meet like-minded people for friendly chat.

Any step-by-step advice? Would like organic, sensible growth via Twitter...

Thanks again for a great post...
