Yet I know personally sales I have lost because of my own failure in this exact area. It feels like you got punched in the stomach when you find out that a prospective client actually did pay for the services you offered but that they payed someone else. I absolutely agree with getting caught in managing costs. I think the other issue just comes down to organization within the business and having a system for following up on leads.
